There's such a hype about UI as the best university in Nigeria, maybe because of being the first University established, but I think that hype covers up for a lot of things that don't go well, dont get me wrong, it is a nice school, largely tries to compete with OAU but I think being in a prime location of Ibadan as the largest West African City, should do more to the benefit of the students, but the Uni has failed to harness that. Generally, a safe school, especially when you live in the school environment, but sthe standard of teaching could be better and more innovative. I feel it recently focused more on distance learning, which is a disadvantage to full time students. Can do more, especially for the hype that comes with getting admission into the Premier University.
